We are on holiday at the moment in Cannes, France. We're very lucky and are staying at George McIntyre's flat very near to the sea front. The weather is beautiful and we have a car to take us around the countryside.
We started our trip by flying to Nimes airport and then drove up past Avignon. We stopped there and had a walk around. We found the famous bridge and sang 'sur le pont, d'avignon'. After that we stopped for lunch at a lovely cafe/book shop and had the most delicious food.
After arriving at George's apartment, we went for a walk down by the marina and then on for some food at a waterfront restaurant. I was very lucky to stay up so late and even had ice-cream for dessert (a treat that was to later become the theme for the trip).
The next morning, Papa went out to fetch some bread and croissants. After breakfast, we drove up the hill to Mougin, a beautiful town high in the hills with lovely views of the landscape. We walked around for a while and then drove to the supermarche to get some food for a picnic which we ate in a huge nearby park. We had such a busy day, after the park we went to see a horse riding school and automobile museum. It was great fun. In the evening, we went down to the sea in Cannes and I had a raspberry sorbet cone.
On Sunday we drove to Nice and visited the Contemporary Arts Museum. It was excellent, I loved it there. We were even allowed to walk around on the roof garden and could see for miles and miles. Before heading back to Cannes, we stopped at the beach in Nice and I had great fun playing in a children's playground there.
Once we got back to Cannes, Mama and I went back to the ice-cream shop and I had a strawberry ice-cream. Papa came to meet us and we went for a meal at a small italian restaurant.
Today, as Papa is going to a conference, me and Mama will be going to the beach to make the biggest sandcastle ever.
